NMSurf, Inc. has completed a major broadband infrastructure project serving the Los Cerrillos area, expanding reliable high-speed internet access to homes and businesses that were previously considered unserved.
The completed project is designed to provide broadband service to 209 addresses, including 193 residential locations, and 16 business locations.
The project was completed in partnership with the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission (NMPRC) through its Annual Broadband Program, utilizing resources from the State Rural Universal Service Fund. The NMPRC program supports broadband infrastructure projects intended to expand service into unserved and underserved areas of New Mexico.
The new infrastructure allows NMSurf to deliver internet speeds of up to 200 Mbps to customers within the upgraded coverage area.

By combining that investment with Tarana’s advanced fixed wireless technology and our licensed CBRS spectrum, we are able to provide significantly faster and more reliable service to residents and businesses in the community.”
Unlike traditional fixed wireless systems, Tarana’s next-generation platform is designed to address many of the interference and signal challenges historically associated with wireless broadband. Combined with NMSurf’s CBRS PAL spectrum, the deployment provides additional dedicated spectrum resources and greater control over network performance.
The Los Cerrillos project is part of NMSurf’s continuing effort to expand and improve broadband infrastructure in rural New Mexico through a combination of private investment, advanced wireless technology, fiber infrastructure, and partnerships with state broadband programs.
NMSurf has served New Mexico communities since December of 1996 and continues to invest in fixed wireless, fiber, and next-generation broadband technologies throughout the state.
