Lyte Fiber has completed a fiber network in Pittsburg, Texas, the ISP announced this month.

In Texas, the City of Pittsburg and Lyte Fiber have completed a multi-million-dollar, 36-mile fiber-optic network delivering multi-gigabit internet to nearly 2,200 local homes and businesses.
Privately funded by Texas-based Lyte Fiber, the network features redundant architecture and backup generators to maintain uptime during severe weather and power outages.
Located in Northeast Texas, Pittsburg is the county seat of Camp County. The community has a population of over 4,000 residents and is “nestled near two stunning state parks and five expansive lakes, offering a wealth of water sports activities,” according to Pittsburg’s website.
“Pittsburg’s growth is rooted in opportunity, and this partnership is about connecting every home, student, and business to that promise,” City Manager Clint Hardeman said in a Sept. 21 release from Lyte Fiber announcing the update.
Lyte Fiber CEO Carter Old noted the project meets long-standing local demand. The company claims to offer transparent pricing without hidden fees and plans to deploy city-registered, credentialed representatives to assist residents.
Additionally, Lyte Fiber pledged a 1% annual giveback to local schools, non-profits, and civic programs, alongside sponsoring local community events like Pioneer Days, the Hot Link Festival, and July 4th celebrations.
