Fiber Light announces high-capacity network along I-45 in Texas
Fiber Light has announced a network expansion that will bring their fiber footprint to the Red Oak data center area in the Dallas area.
According to Fiber Light’s announcement, the route will connect Corsicana, Red Oak, and South Dallas.
“Texas is seeing a surge in AI infrastructure and data center development, and none of it scales without the fiber to move data quickly and reliably,” said FiberLight CEO Bill Major. “AI and data centers need more than capacity. They need dependable fiber at the foundation of a diversified network, with route diversity to build in redundancy and support cloud, edge, and AI workloads. That’s what we’re building in Red Oak and across West Texas.
Availability for the network is expected in 2027, Fiber Light announced November 3.

New private partnership will support development of fiber in the Southwest
MMR Fiber Solutions and Prysmian have announced they are forming a strategic partnership to deliver fiber infrastructure to the US Southwestern region, according to a release provided by the companies on Monday.
According to the announcement, MMR Fiber Solutions is the developer of the region’s first new high-capacity fiber route in decades. Prysmian — the wire and cable solutions giant — needs no introduction, meanwhile.
“We are excited to partner with MMR Fiber Solutions on this transformative initiative,” said Brian Dilascia, an SVP of digital solutions at Prysmian. “The demand for connectivity continues to accelerate as AI, cloud services, and digital technologies reshape industries and communities. Together, we are helping create the resilient infrastructure foundation necessary to support that growth for decades to come.”
The fiber route being constructed by MMR Fiber Solutions will connect Mesa, Tucson, El Paso, Albuquerque and the Texas Panhandle, according to the company.
