Gateway Fiber is reporting strong interest from banks and institutional bond investors following the securement of a $578 million financing platform that combines Gateway Fiber’s inaugural $333 million asset-backed securitization with a $245 million development financing facility.

According to Gateway’s October 29 press release provided to Broadband Communities, the asset-backed securitization (ABS) is backed by a diversified portfolio of high-quality operating fiber and fixed wireless assets, including associated customer contracts and recurring revenues.

Gateway described the financing as a pivotal step forward in their mission of helping communities thrive through reliable, high-speed internet experiences.

“This capital provides the runway to accelerate our expansion, allowing for continued delivery of next-level connectivity for additional residents and businesses across the nation, all while maintaining a disciplined approach to our long-term growth,” said Craig Ceranna, the CFO for Gateway Fiber.

Chris Surdo, Gateway’s CEO, said the development “is a clear demonstration of confidence in Gateway’s operational strength and market momentum.”

“With services already active across six states, this capital allows us to accelerate network construction and bring our world-class fiber infrastructure to even more underserved communities,” Surdo said.
