A new brand of hotels offering an apartment-style experience from Hyatt is “leading the industry” with connectivity, according to the hospitality giant.

The company, which operates 1,400 hotels and all-inclusive properties globally, made the claim as they celebrated the opening of their first Hyatt Studios-branded hotel.

Guests at the hotel, located in Mobile, Alabama, experience a “fresh take on extended stay,” the company announced this week.

The hotel, “designed to deliver the perfect balance of comfort and modern convenience,” offers free fiber internet and will offer electric vehicle (EV) charging as “a signature feature across all properties.”

Hyatt Studios Mobile-Tillmans Corner is the first of 40 expected additional Hyatt Studios hotels to be built and opened by 2027, the company announced.

The Mobile-Tillmans Corner location features 122 studio apartment-style units, which the hospitality giant says were “designed for comfort and functionality.”

Each unit includes “a well-equipped kitchen, including a full-size refrigerator, built-in cooktop, microwave with air fryer and convection-oven capabilities, dishwasher, and essential cookware,” Hyatt’s release explained.

The decision to include electric vehicle charging stations and free fiber internet reinforces the company’s “focus on guest experience and the future of travel,” the release stated.

Dan Hansen, global head of Hyatt Studios, called the opening of the Mobile-Tillmans Corner location an exciting milestone.

“This is just the beginning for the Hyatt Studios brand as the brand demonstrates enthusiasm among hotel owners and developers for this brand,” Hansen said, in comments included with Hyatt’s announcement. “We’re proud to celebrate the grand opening with 3H Group and LBA Hospitality, whose dedication has brought the Hyatt Studios vision to life.”
