Clearfield also announced they’ve secured a landmark $22 million order for a hyperscale data center project.

Clearfield, Inc. reported a 13% increase in fiscal third-quarter net sales to $43.9 million, headlined by a major post-quarter $22 million order to support a hyperscale data center project.
As we continue to execute on our core business, we are increasingly focused on positioning the Company for its next phase of growth,” said Clearfield President and CEO Cheri Beranek in comments included with the Q3 fiscal results. “That progress was highlighted shortly after the close of the third quarter, when we received our first significant order for $22 million to support a hyperscale data center project.”
Gross margin for the quarter ended June 30 came in at 31.8%, while order backlog stood at $21.0 million, Clearfield also said.
“We remain focused on executing our strategy of promoting the expertise Clearfield has built in fiber connectivity, fiber management and labor-saving network design well beyond our traditional broadband markets,” Beranek added. “At the same time, we remain committed to the customers and communities that have always defined Clearfield.”
Clearfield embraces fiber-optic sensing
On July 28, the company announced it was expanding its fiber portfolio to include temperature, acoustic, and strain sensing cable solutions for infrastructure monitoring.
“Broadband, data center, and wireless operators manage significantly different infrastructure, but they all face the same challenge: limited visibility into conditions across critical assets — whether that’s miles of fiber, dense data center environments, remote edge and IoT sites, or critical border and perimeter infrastructure,” said Anis Khemakhem, the COO of Clearfield. “Fiber sensing gives them better information about potential threats and changing network conditions so they can respond sooner, protect critical assets, and make more informed maintenance and security decisions.”
