July 14, 2026 — Ripple Fiber, a leading 100% fiber-optic internet provider and network operator, has completed its fiber infrastructure project in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The $20 million investment delivers reliable, high-speed fiber internet to over 20,000 homes and businesses across Kitty Hawk, Southern Shores, Duck, Kill Devil Hills, and Corolla, with additional expansion areas to be identified and built over time.
“The Outer Banks represents one of our first fiber networks, and this $20 million investment completes that initial phase,” said Greg Wilson, founder and CEO of Ripple Fiber. “Now, thousands of homes and businesses across five communities have access to our 100% fiber network. We plan to keep expanding here as we identify new areas to build and introduce more residents to fast, reliable internet.”
The project began in late 2023, with service launching for the area’s first Ripple Fiber customers in January 2024. Currently, the provider has identified additional opportunities to build in Corolla, mainly with multi-dwelling units and private communities.
