RightFiber has announced plans to build a fiber network in El Dorado following a $5 million investment aimed at delivering faster and more reliable internet to local residents and businesses.

“El Dorado has been an incredibly welcoming community. We’re excited to connect residents and businesses to RightFiber’s next-generation high-speed internet to support education and community growth,” said CEO Heath Simpson. The company says its network will offer residential speeds up to 5 gigabits per second and business connections up to 100 Gbps.

The rollout, announced Dec. 2, will be phased into several neighborhoods. Meanwhile, residents will be notified via door tags, mail, yard signs and direct outreach from door-to-door team members.

The company is also encouraging interested customers to check availability and sign up on its website.

El Dorado is located in Union County, Arkansas. The community serves as the county’s seat.

RightFiber, a brand of Ritter Communications, is also Arkansas based, headquartered in Jonesboro.

Ritter traces its operations back more than 115 years and provides broadband, telecom, video and data center services across the southern United States. The company also says the new infrastructure is “future-proof” and intended to support remote work, smart-home devices, online commerce and gaming.

As part of its local commitment, RightFiber donated $10,000 to the United Way of Union County earlier this year to mark its entry into El Dorado. The company says it aims to pair high-capacity technology with an improved customer experience as service becomes available.
