Gus Chimos joins mStreet Fiber with more than two decades of experience building and scaling telecoms operations, mStreet Fiber says.

mStreet Fiber, a future-enabling, community-focused open-access fiber network developer, today announced the appointment of Gus Chimos as Chief Executive Officer.
In his new role, Chimos will focus on delivering sustainable community and commercial returns through three strategic priorities: fiber-to-the-premises deployment in communities of all income levels across mStreet Fiber’s Memphis, Central Indiana, and Alabama’s Black Belt footprint; adding internet service providers to mStreet Fiber’s open-access network; and fortifying mStreet Fiber’s operating companies, which are led by local executives with deep local accountability and relationships.

Chimos joins mStreet Fiber with more than two decades of experience building and scaling telecoms operations across urban and rural broadband markets. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Revenue Officer at Skywire Networks, an urban fiber and fixed wireless provider, where he unified sales, customer success, and revenue operations under a disciplined go-to-market framework designed to drive predictable revenue, improve operational efficiency, and support scalable market expansion.
Prior to Skywire, Chimos was Vice President of Operations at Archtop Fiber, where he oversaw all aspects of day-to-day operations and managed the integration of three rural telephone companies into a cohesive broadband operation. During an 11-year tenure at Astound Business Solutions (formerly RCN Telecom), Chimos built the Business Solutions organization into a core growth engine, more than doubling its share of total company revenue.
