Louisiana’s state broadband office, ConnectLA, has released two new toolkits to help local officials and subgrantees coordinate high-speed internet construction, according to an agency press release sent to Broadband Communities August 6.

The agency says the GUMBO 2.0 Deployment Toolkit and Excavation Toolkit were designed to support the rollout of $1.36 billion in federal broadband funding. The resources target parish officials, permit offices, public works departments, and subgrantees to streamline communication and implementation statewide, Connect LA said.

The Deployment Toolkit features construction lifecycle guides, contact lists, and social media graphics. Additionally, the Excavation Toolkit provides updates on the new Louisiana Dig Law and standardized job-site signage templates.

Both toolkits are available now for download on the ConnectLA website, the organization announced.
