AT&T turned in strong second-quarter 2026 results this month powered by record broadband growth.
The company added 646,000 total internet customers, including 367,000 fiber users and 279,000 fixed wireless subscribers, according to AT&T’s Q2 2026 results released July 22.
That momentum pushed home internet revenue up over 27% year-over-year to nearly $2.9 billion, the company’s data revealed.
With 38.6 million fiber locations now reached, AT&T also remains on track to hit 40 million by year-end, the company said.
CEO John Stankey credited the gains to bundling home broadband with mobile plans, noting that over 42% of AT&T’s home internet customers now subscribe to its wireless service as well. Meanwhile, legacy copper revenues sank nearly 26% as the carrier continues phasing out traditional networks.
