East Greenbush, New York marks the latest community to house an Archtop Fiber network construction project.

Archtop Fiber has officially kicked off construction in East Greenbush, New York, signaling a significant push to expand its high-speed fiber internet network across the Hudson Valley and nearby areas. The company’s crews are currently rolling out a cutting-edge fiber infrastructure designed to deliver some of the fastest, most reliable internet service available in the region.

Jeff DeMond, chairman and CEO of Archtop Fiber, expressed enthusiasm about the project’s launch.

“Breaking ground in East Greenbush is an exciting step for Archtop Fiber as we continue bringing future-ready connectivity to more communities across New York,” he said. “We are honored to partner with town leadership throughout this construction phase, and we are eager to deliver the exceptional speed, reliability and customer experience that only fiber Internet can provide.”

The network will offer symmetrical upload and download speeds up to 10 Gbps, catering to the community’s growing demand for faster and more dependable internet.

“We’re pleased to see this investment”

Town Supervisor Jack Conway welcomed the initiative, emphasizing the importance of robust broadband for local residents and businesses.

“We’re pleased to see this investment moving forward in East Greenbush. Reliable broadband infrastructure is increasingly important for residents, businesses and the long-term growth of our community, and we appreciate Archtop Fiber’s coordination with the town as this work begins,” he said.

The project is expected to bolster everything from streaming and video conferencing to e-commerce and remote work capabilities within the area.

Residents should anticipate some temporary disruptions during construction, such as crews marking roads and properties, accessing underground utilities, and installing network hardware like flush-mounted ground boxes. Archtop Fiber urges the community not to remove utility locate flags, as they are critical for worker safety and efficiency. Once construction wraps up, the company promises to restore any disturbed areas carefully, including replanting and soil stabilization where needed.
