June 15, 2026 — One month remains before the application deadline for the ÉTOUFFÉE program hits in Louisiana.

The program is aimed at bridging the digital divide across Louisiana with the launch of an accompanying grant application portal, ConnectLA announced earlier this month, on June 3.

The program stands to provide organizations serving local communities with access to laptops, desktops, tablets, and digital skills resources, designed to bolster workforce development, education, and health-related services statewide.

The ÉTOUFFÉE program, Enhancing Technological Opportunity for yoU and your Family to Foster Education and Enterprise, will enable qualifying entities such as veterans service organizations, rural public health agencies, municipalities, state agencies, and eligible post-secondary institutions to access technology resources, according to ConnectLA.

The resources are intended to be deployed in device loan programs, public computer labs, digital literacy courses, and health technology initiatives freely accessible to the public.

Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry emphasized the program’s role in complementing broadband infrastructure efforts.

“Louisiana’s broadband work is about more than infrastructure alone,” he said. “As connectivity expands across our state, we also have to ensure communities have access to the devices and tools needed to fully participate in today’s economy, education system and healthcare environment. Programs like ÉTOUFFÉE help extend those opportunities into communities across Louisiana.”

Applications for the ÉTOUFFÉE program are open through July 15, 2026. Interested organizations can submit proposals and review program details at etouffee.org.
