In Q4 2012, Zhone shipped more than 400 MXKs, expanding the total number of MXK platform deployments to more than 4,400 units. To date, the company has shipped more than 3 million of its GPON ports globally and generated a total subscriber capacity of more than 30 million.
In the FTTx market, Zhone has been recognized by industry analysts as a top-five global player for its third consecutive year. The company has also been outpacing projections and multiple suppliers within the market. Zhone’s FTTx customer base has grown at a CAGR of 66.5 percent since Q1 2009.

Featuring industry-leading density, scalability and switching capacity, the MXK is the industry’s first terabit access concentrator and provides non-blocking capacity of up to 3,600 100 Mbps GPON subscribers or 360 1G Active Ethernet subscribers. Zhone ONT deployment has also grown at a CAGR of 242 percent since Q1 2009, while MXK OLT has grown at a CAGR of 238 percent for the same period.
