Wire 3, a Florida-based internet provider, said Thursday that Mount Dora is now connected to its 100% fiber network, offering homes and businesses in initial construction zones access to multi-gigabit speeds and a five-year price lock.

The company said customers in those areas can sign up via its website for installation as the buildout continues across the city.

“We’ve made it clear, we’re committed to growing with Lake County,” Wire 3 CEO Jai Ramachandran said in the announcement, adding that the company aims to “strengthen Mount Dora’s digital foundation and enable sustainable growth” for residents and local businesses. Ramachandran called the launch “just the start” of the company’s work in the region.

The Mount Dora connection is part of a wider rollout across Lake County, where Wire 3 says it has put a combined $150 million into projects that also cover Clermont, Eustis, Minneola, Tavares and nearby Leesburg. The company promotes symmetrical upload and download speeds up to 10 gigabits per second and emphasizes that its fiber service is faster than traditional cable offerings.

The company, founded in 2021 and based in Daytona Beach, describes itself as a Florida-focused, 100% fiber provider serving more than 50 communities statewide, including Daytona Beach, Titusville, Ocala and Port St. Lucie.
