Vero Broadband, LLC (Vero Fiber) has finalized its merger with Montana Sky Networks Incorporated (MontanaSky), consolidating two regional internet providers to expand fiber deployment across the Flathead Valley.
The deal couples MontanaSky’s 30-year local presence in Kalispell and Libby with Vero Fiber’s national network infrastructure, Vero Fiber announced Oct. 1.
The combined entity aims to speed up regional fiber expansion, bolster operational efficiency, and support local economic development across residential, business, healthcare, and educational sectors, the company said.
Vero Fiber CEO Sunita Krishna noted the strategic advantages of the transaction:
“MontanaSky has built an outstanding reputation through decades of local leadership, exceptional customer service, and a genuine commitment to community,” Krishna said. “By officially joining forces, we’re creating a stronger organization with the resources, talent, and long-term investment capacity to expand fiber access faster and deliver an even better experience for customers.”
Meanwhile, MontanaSky CEO Ryan Bowman emphasized the operational benefits for the local market:
“Vero shares our customer-first culture and commitment to local service,” Bowman said. “By combining our networks, expertise, and resources, we can invest more aggressively in fiber expansion, create new opportunities for our employees, and provide customers with greater choice, reliability, and value.”
Vero Fiber, a subsidiary of VFN Holdings, Inc., funds and builds fiber networks in rural and underserved markets nationwide, while MontanaSky brings decades of local service expertise to the unified company, Vero Fiber’s release said.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
