MontanaSky will retain its name, local team, and support channels, while gaining access to Vero’s financial strength and resources.

Vero Fiber and MontanaSky have entered into a definitive agreement to unite their organizations to accelerate fiber investment across Northwest Montana.

Under the agreement, MontanaSky will retain its name, local team, and support channels, while gaining access to Vero’s financial strength and resources, according to an August 18 announcement about the merger.

The transaction builds on Vero’s early 2025 combination with Montana Digital, the announcement says.

“Bringing those networks together is a natural next step and makes both organizations stronger,” said Ryan Bowman, CEO of MontanaSky. “Together we can focus our resources on bringing high-speed fiber to more homes and businesses, faster.”

Sunita Krishna, CEO of Vero Fiber, called the deal a milestone to build “the region’s premier locally operated fiber provider.”

The executed transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
