PARIS Iskratel and Telco Systems announced a partnership to deliver a complete solution for Carrier Ethernet services compliant with Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) standards. This partnership brings together Iskratel’s MEF-certified, next-generation multiservice access node, the SI3000 Lumia, and Telco Systems’ MEF-certified carrier Ethernet demarcation devices, metro aggregation and EdgeGenie service management system. Ethernet business services supported through Telco Systems’ demarcation devices can be aggregated through Iskratel’s access node and monitored and managed using Telco’s service management platform.

The combined solution will allow providers to offer commercial Ethernet services using MEF-compliant, standards-based E-Line and E-LAN Carrier Ethernet and MPLS-based services, complemented with an end-to-end service management platform. This will give carriers full control over network deployment from planning to managing, monitoring and maintaining Carrier Ethernet services.

Iskratel’s SI3000 Lumia is a high-capacity broadband access node with support for residential and business services. It is suitable for any business model, including wholesale and open access.

“Iskratel’s customers can now offer not only cutting-edge residential service but also assured, fully managed service to their business users,” says Francois Tournesac, vice president of sales for Telco Systems. “This field-proven, highly reliable solution allows them to offer new services without increasing operational costs.”
