As the industry’s most forward-looking minds gather this fall, OPTECH 2025 is entering a bold new era.

Long recognized as a premiere event for technology, innovation, and operations across the multifamily industry, OPTECH now transitions under the leadership of the Real Estate Technology & Transformation Center (RETTC), marking a new chapter in how the sector collaborates, innovates, and drives progress.

For the first time, the event will be hosted and managed directly by RETTC, reflecting its growing role as a central hub for proptech and broadband leaders shaping the digital future of housing. All attendees, exhibitors, and partners will now be RETTC members, ensuring a tightly focused community of decision-makers dedicated to advancing the intersection of technology, real estate, and connectivity.

While National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) members will continue to benefit from discounted access and partnership ties, the event’s transition underscores a shared commitment to smarter, more integrated infrastructure—where broadband, automation, and data converge to enhance both operations and resident experience.

Where technology meets real estate

From November 17-19, 2025, the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas will become the nexus of this transformation.

The three-day conference and expo will showcase the technologies redefining how properties operate, connect, and compete – spanning broadband deployment strategies, smart building systems, cybersecurity, AI integration, and the evolving regulatory landscape shaping digital infrastructure.

The programming officially opens on Monday afternoon and concludes Wednesday morning, featuring an energizing mix of mainstage conversations, curated workshops, and immersive formats designed to inspire both strategy and action.

Thought leaders shaping the conversation

This year’s keynote lineup delivers both vision and candor. Kara Swisher, renowned tech journalist and host of On With Kara Swisher, will unpack the human and ethical dimensions of emerging technologies. Nathan Blecharczyk, Airbnb’s co-founder and chief strategy officer, will join for a headline conversation on innovation, disruption, and the balance between growth and responsibility in tech-driven markets.

Curated experiences for every tech mindset

RETTC’s programming reimagines what a real estate tech event can be. Two new session formats for OPTECH 2025 include The NOFOMO Stage and Deep Dive Case Studies. The NOFOMO Stage lets attendees quickly catch up on what they missed at other real estate tech conferences, including the all-important user conferences. And Deep Dive Case Studies takes a fifteen-minute dive into one project highlighting lessons learned and best practices for the audience to take home and use.

After a successful launch last year, the FuturesLab returns, spotlighting experimental pilots and forward-thinking initiatives. Fast Pitches, which offer a rapid showcase of emerging solutions and startups driving innovation, are also back by popular demand. Attendee favorites, including executive roundtables and longer workshops return, giving leaders the opportunity to exchange best practices and explore new strategies around broadband deployment, connectivity planning, automation, ESG reporting, and AI integration.

As the newly minted annual meeting for RETTC, all RETTC committees will convene at OPTECH to discuss important committee business. Importantly, they will run consecutively and are open to all attendees, so all attendees can attend any committee meeting and join in the conversation.

Exploring ideas, insights, and implementation

With the new RETTC membership model, OPTECH 2025 has been repositioned as the place that drives the real estate technology agenda – prioritizing meaningful engagement among senior operators, investors, and solution providers who are actively shaping what’s next. This curated approach ensures conversations stay high-level and collaborative, while the expo floor remains a dynamic arena for discovering solutions that can be implemented immediately at the property level.

Private meeting spaces, networking receptions, and after-hours meetups at the MGM Grand all contribute to an atmosphere where relationships – and ideas – can flourish.
