LAS VEGAS, NV – Allied Telesis Inc., a global provider of secure IP/Ethernet switching solutions and deployer of IP triple-play networks, has launched new outdoor and indoor home networking Layer 2/Layer 3 gateways.
With the adoption of multiscreen television and whole-home DVR, the access network infrastructure needs to support active nonblocking GigE to the home. The new Allied Telesis line of whole-home networking 1 Gbps gateways offers fully integrated, advanced multimedia L2/L3 networking for VoIP, Internet and IPTV services.
The iMG2426F features an SFP socket, supporting 100M or 1 Gbps active fiber WAN, six 10/100/1000TX LAN ports and two FXS voice ports and is optimized for delivering IP triple-play services, including whole-home networking, all in a single customer-premises device.
The indoor home product, iMG1400, incorporates a two-piece enclosure with configurable 100M/GigE SFP WAN and features five LAN ports and an option for two FXS voice ports. There are also options for integrated RF video overlay and IEEE 802.11n wireless capabilities.
