A new Xtream Connect plan from Mediacom Communcations for veterans and military members promises download speeds up to 100 Mbps and uploads up to 20 Mbps, free installation and activation, and Wi‑Fi equipment provided by eero.
The company said the plan also offers service at a rate of $29.99 per month with a five-year price lock.
Additionally, Mediacom says the package includes eero’s TrueMesh technology for wider coverage and fewer interruptions, plus built-in security and family controls. The company is also backing the offer with a 90-day money-back guarantee and 24/7 local support.
Company officials framed the product as both a customer offering and a gesture to military households. Tapan Dandnaik, Mediacom’s senior vice president for operations and product strategy, said the plan is intended “to give back” and to help service members “stay connected to what matters most.”
The five-year price lock is meant to shield subscribers from short-term rate increases.
Mediacom also intends to make Xtream Connect available beyond military households; any residence within its service area that participates in certain federal assistance programs, including the National School Lunch Program, SNAP, Medicaid, Federal Public Housing Assistance, SSI and WIC, will be eligible. The company describes the move as part of its broader digital equity efforts to expand broadband access for underserved populations.
