Georgia-based internet provider LiveOak Fiber will use existing infrastructure from Seimitsu to accelerate deployment times in a Savannah neighborhood.

The strategic partnership, announced Feb. 19, will accelerate LiveOak’s deployment schedules in Mayfair, a neighborhood of Savannah, the ISP announced.

Along with reaching thousands of residents in the Mayfair neighborhood faster, LiveOak’s announcement also said the partnership would positively impact deployment schedules in surrounding areas.

Steve Smith, the CRO of LiveOak, said the partnership underscores LiveOak’s commitment to speedy deployments.

“Rather than waiting months, we’re delivering service in weeks, connecting homes and businesses at an unprecedented pace,” Smith stated.

Sam Cook, the CEO of Seimitsu, also commented on the announcement in LiveOak’s release.

“At Seimitsu, we are committed to supporting the growth of high-speed fiber networks that empower communities,” Cook stated. “By working alongside LiveOak Fiber, we are helping to accelerate the availability of next-generation broadband, ensuring that residents and businesses in Savannah benefit from faster, more reliable internet connectivity.”

Back in November, Seimitsu, an ISP based in Savannah, celebrated their 40th anniversary in business with a proclamation presented by Savannah Mayor Van Johnson.

The proclamation honored Seimitsu’s commitment to advancing the technology infrastructure in Savannah and recognizes its many contributions to the community.
