A North-Carolina service provider said their latest expansion, which will bring fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) technology to hundreds of homes in Halifax, N.C., is completed.
Fybe, the company behind the expansion, said their latest completed project delivered fiber internet to over 400 homes and businesses in Halifax, the seat of Halifax County.
Fybe, which offers residential and business customers broadband internet, voice services, and smart grid energy efficiency capabilities, is an initiative spearheaded by Roanoke Connect Holdings, a subsidiary of Roanoke Cooperative.
Bo Coughlin, Fybe’s chief operating officer, said the project brings Fybe “one step closer to achieving our vision of bringing the world to rural North Carolina.”
The project represents a “significant investment,” according to Fybe’s Oct. 17 announcement.
“Fybe believes that internet access should be a right, not a privilege and is dedicated to empowering communities with the tools they need to thrive,” Coughlin said.
