In what is being described by the company’s founder as a pivotal moment, DojoNetworks has named a longtime veteran of the property technology industry as their chief operating officer (COO).
Charles Walker, who arrives at DojoNetworks following a successful stint at Aerwave, has an impressive portfolio of accomplishments in his career, according to the company.
A track record of transformations
“His track record of transforming companies—from scaling a $50 million organization into a $250 million industry leader, to driving property technology strategy for a massive residential portfolio—proves he is uniquely positioned to accelerate our growth,” said Daniel Myers, the founder and president of Dojo Networks. “Charlie’s entrepreneurial spirit, combined with his unwavering belief that transparency and people are the keys to success, aligns perfectly with our culture.”
Before serving at Aerwave, Walker led the proptech efforts at Equity Residential.
“In this crucial role, Walker built relationships with national suppliers and manufacturers to develop operational strategies, solving complex challenges in property management and service management, while dramatically improving the resident experience through initiatives like smart building access, remote monitored camera systems, enhanced amenities, and smart home solutions,” DojoNetwork’s Nov. 5 release explained.
Notably, Equity Residential is a NMHC Top 5 owner, representing 300 communities and over 80,000 apartment units.
More about Walker
The release also said Walker “is renowned for his multifaceted, problem–solving mindset and focus on strategic organizational growth.”
“Earlier in his career, he spent 13 years in network and datacenter infrastructure consulting and deployment, culminating in his role leading the Enterprise Program Management Office (PMO) at Sentinel Technologies,” the announcement stated. “During his time there, Walker was instrumental in scaling the organization’s annual revenues from $50 million to $250 million, establishing the company as a leader across every major vertical.”
Comments from Walker were included in the release from DojoNetworks.
“I’m thrilled to join the team at DojoNetworks, a company that understands that superior network infrastructure is the non–negotiable foundation for all modern proptech,” he said. “My philosophy centers on putting people and partnerships first. I look forward to working with the team to develop scalable processes that enable our customers to grow and that solidify DojoNetworks’ position as the partner of choice for the MDU industry.”
