Comments from the CEO
“After launching Brightspeed Fiber Internet only two years ago, it’s an incredible honor to be recognized for our speed, reliability and overall service,” said Brightspeed CEO Tom Maguire. “We’re making a multi-billion-dollar investment to roll out our fiber network across our footprint because of its reliability, resiliency and lightning-fast speed. For customers, upgrading from copper to fiber is like upgrading from a dirt road to a superhighway for data. Future-proof fiber is built to handle the increasing demand for speed and capacity, ensuring a high-quality connection for years to come.”
‘Great news for consumers’
“This year’s Internet Provider Review — the largest audit of the industry on record — highlights an industry at a turning point,” said Editor in Chief at HighSpeedInternet.com Michael De Medeiros. “Fiber ISPs have reclaimed their lead in speed, and customer satisfaction is improving across the board. More providers are recognizing that competitive pricing and reliability are just as critical as raw speed, which is great news for consumers.”
Every year, HighSpeedInternet.com compares the nation’s largest internet providers with millions of data points in the areas that matter most to customers: price, speed, reliability, and customer experience. The 2025 ISP Review ranks the nation’s top ISPs using a mix of proprietary and public data. This includes 45,000 daily speed tests, pricing insights from the Internet Plan Index, and feedback from 10,000+ customers in an independent satisfaction survey. Additionally, HighSpeedInternet.com analyzes FCC coverage data, track real-time outage reports, and incorporate macro-outage insights from the IODA outage tracking project to assess reliability. This comprehensive approach ensures a data-driven, customer-focused evaluation of the broadband industry.
