July 2, 2026 — An additional 29 Amazon Leo satellites have been successfully deployed into low Earth orbit, marking the final flight of the network’s Atlas V launch campaign, according to Amazon News.
The latest mission, LA-08, brings the provider’s total orbital fleet to 396 satellites across 14 missions, cementing its position as the world’s third-largest satellite constellation, Amazon News says.
With the Atlas campaign concluding with a 100% success rate, Amazon says they’re now transitioning to a new heavy-lift Vulcan rocket to support larger payloads. Backed by a new vertical integration facility at Cape Canaveral and over 100 secured launch contracts, Amazon Leo Director of Launch Systems Melissa Wuerl confirmed the company has a clear path to accelerate its deployment cadence ahead of an initial commercial service rollout slated for later this year, Amazon News reported.
