ANAHEIM, CA — ZyXEL Communications, a provider of secure broadband networking and connected home products, unveiled the EMG3425 — a new Gigabit Ethernet wireless AC2200 gateway. The supercharged EMG3425 wireless gateway comes with 4×4, 802.11ac and 3×3, 802.11n configuration, ready to deliver premium services and connectivity for Gigabit homes.

Carrier-class Wi-Fi for Seamless Mobility
With combined dual-band speeds of up to 2200 Mbps with 1.7Gbps over 5GHz 11ac and 450Mbps over 2.4GHz 11n, the ZyXEL EMG3425 is ideal for FTTH deployments and cable MSOs. Additionally, the EMG3425 is built on the latest 802.11ac Wave 2 standard offering MU-MIMO and Explicit Beamforming technologies while maximizing bandwidth utilization for multiple wireless clients running video streaming, online gaming and other demanding applications. High powered Wi-Fi on both 5GHz and 2.4GHz APs extends coverage, unleashing the best wireless experience for homes with a growing number of Wi-Fi devices. The ability to create multiple Wi-Fi networks with up to 4 SSIDs helps operators easily create separate WLAN networks for video, data and guests.

“The EMG3425 is designed to exceed both the expectations of subscribers as well as service providers,” said Brian Feng, senior vice president, ZyXEL. “With the latest carrier-class Wi-Fi and remote management with TR-069, the EMG3425 offers service providers a premium gateway for demanding Wi-Fi subscribers while reducing management and support costs.”

TR-069 Remote Management with TR-181 Support

In addition to TR-069 remote management capability, the EMG3425 will also support the latest TR-181 data model. The TR-181 features reveal critical Wi-Fi diagnostic information and enhance service provider visibility inside the subscriber’s Local Area Network (LAN) for improved customer support. With over 25 years of experience and adherence to open standards, ZyXEL products are interoperable with all industry-leading Automatic Configuration Server (ACS) vendors for quicker deployments.
Built-in 802.1q port-based VLAN and DHCP features, advanced QoS and IGMP support optimize the EMG3425 for triple-play service delivery, effectively provisioning voice, video and data services while maintaining high quality of experience (QoE).
