Wyyerd Fiber’s fiber-optic network services are coming to El Cajon, much to the delight of local leaders.
The internet service provider (ISP) announced the planned expansion to El Cajon on Oct. 9. The announcement follows another recent milestone attained by the company.
Last month, Wyyerd expanded services Imperial Beach, in the South Bay portion of San Diego County.
The expansion to El Cajon marks Wyyerd’s entrance into East County, a region to the east of downtown San Diego.
Rick Wilson, president of the San Diego Regional East County Chamber of Commerce, offered comments that were included in Wyyerd’s recent release.
“The San Diego Regional East County Chamber of Commerce is very excited about Wyyerd Fiber and their presence in East County,” Wilson said. “The Chamber is so happy that Wyyerd Fiber has joined as members of the business community and that they are providing much needed Fiber throughout East County and San Diego County. Together, we will continue to serve the community.”
Wyyerd’s network offers symmetrical internet speeds of up to 5 Gig, according to a description of the ISP’s services.
Dennis Kyle, the SVP of operations at Wyyerd, said the provider’s expansion to El Cajon “represents an extension of Wyyerd’s superior internet product and unmatched local customer service.”
“We are thrilled to offer a service people can feel comfortable recommending to their friends and family,” Kyle said.
Also quoted in Wyyerd’s release was Travis Nance, the ISP’s COO.
“Our expansion into El Cajon marks a significant milestone for Wyyerd Fiber and the residents of this city,” Nance said. “We are thrilled to launch our state-of-the-art, 100 percent fiber internet services, ensuring that El Cajon residents and businesses alike can enjoy the benefits of reliable connectivity with multi-Gig symmetrical speeds, flat rate pricing, unlimited data, and no contracts or installation fees.”
