Wire 3, a Florida-based fiber internet provider, this week has announced plans to expand their network in Lake County to include Clermont and Minneola, increasing the company’s private investment in the county to $150 million.
The announcement comes after the carrier previously outlined plans to build fiber in Eustis, Leesburg, Mount Dora and Tavares; construction is now under way across the county, the company said.
Wire 3 also said residents and businesses in Clermont and Minneola can expect service capable of multigigabit speeds, up to 10 gigabits per second, as early as this spring.
The company is offering symmetrical upload and download speeds and no-contract plans and is soliciting pre-sales and construction updates through its website. Wire 3’s rollout follows a broader push to bring fiber to more than 50 communities across Central Florida.

“As Wire 3 strengthens its presence in Lake County, six communities are now on the cusp of transformation, thanks to the deployment of our future-proof network,” said Jai Ramachandran, Wire 3’s chief executive officer. “Our local teams are proud to be building efficient, reliable, and resilient infrastructure to keep our neighbors connected, and support the growth of local businesses.”
The company is also including an Amazon eero device with its service installations, Wire 3 announced.
This week’s announcement continues to position Wire 3 as a growing regional provider, already serving cities such as Daytona Beach, Ocala and Port St. Lucie, while moving deeper into Lake County.
