The acquisition of BendTel, Inc., a locally owned telecom provider, will help bolster Vero Fiber’s position in the growing Central Oregon marketplace, according to Vero Fiber.
The announcement, released yesterday, credits BendTel’s reputational success in Central Oregon.
“The company owns and operates a robust fiber network, serving a wide range of residential and commercial clients across the region,” Vero’s release stated.
Vero Fiber’s CEO, Sunita Krishna, said the acquisition will accelerate Very Fiber’s recent momentum in Bend, the seat of Deschutes County.
“BendTel has a strong legacy in Bend and a deep understanding of the local business landscape,” Krishna stated, according to Vero Fiber’s release. “We’re excited to bring our resources and experience to scale that foundation while maintaining the local service customers have come to trust.”
The acquisition will also help expand Vero Fiber’s capabilities in Central Oregon and Deschutes County, where Vero Fiber is continuing to invest.
Tom Barrett, the CEO of BendTel, was also quoted in Vero Fiber’s announcement.
He said joining Vero will allow BendTel to expand faster and bring a greater value to customers.
“As Bend continues to grow, we want to continue to offer our high-standard services to a broader community,” Barrett said.
The acquisition is expected to be completed this fall, according to Vero Fiber’s release.
