KGPCo, North America’s largest supply chain logistics provider and systems integrator for communications service providers, has announced a strategic partnership with Tarana Wireless, the innovator behind next-generation fixed wireless access (ngFWA) technology.

This partnership, announced last week, aims to meet increasing demand for robust fixed wireless access solutions that complement and extend fiber networks, particularly in areas where deploying fiber is either prohibitively expensive or logistically difficult.

Partnership reflects a convergence

By combining Tarana’s breakthrough ngFWA solutions with KGPCo’s wide-reaching supply chain and systems integration expertise, the alliance aims to bridge significant digital divides, according to Tarana’s website.

Tarana’s ngFWA platform, embodied in its Gigabit 1 (G1) product line, is a transformative technology in the broadband industry.

It delivers fiber-class performance using wireless infrastructure, enabling operators to provide reliable, high-speed internet service even in challenging non-line-of-sight environments. More than 250 operators across 24 countries and 47 U.S. states have already deployed this technology, Tarana reported.

Meanwhile, KGPCo contributes over five decades of experience in the communications industry to this partnership, serving over 2,000 customers that include wireline and wireless providers, cloud service providers, multiple system operators, utilities, OEMs, and contractors.

Operating nine distribution centers with more than two million square feet of warehouse space and partnering with over 2,600 OEMs, KGPCo possesses a comprehensive supply chain infrastructure, the release stated. According to Tarana, KGPCo’s reach is critical in facilitating the rapid and scalable deployment of ngFWA solutions.

Joe Baeumel, Vice President of Strategy & Business Development at KGPCo, emphasized their commitment by saying, “We’re excited to join forces with Tarana to extend high-performance broadband to communities using FWA technology,” underscoring the role scalable and cost-effective solutions play in closing connectivity gaps.

Tarana’s CEO, Basil Alwan, also remarked on the synergy, stating, “KGPCo’s extensive reach and supply chain expertise are invaluable in accelerating the deployment of next generation fixed wireless access across North America.”
