Summit Broadband has signed a multi-year partnership with the Orlando Magic, the company announced in a press release, becoming the NBA team’s official fiber internet provider.
The agreement gives Summit Broadband exclusivity as the team’s fiber internet partner and includes arena signage, radio integrations and co‑branded digital content aimed at promoting the provider’s high‑speed fiber services across Central Florida, the release stated.
The company said the deal is intended to tie Summit Broadband’s marketing and community efforts to the fanbase of the Orlando Magic, with the company promising enhanced in‑arena experiences, community activations, exclusive offers and contests for fans.
Summit Broadband’s CEO Kurt Van Wagenen described the arrangement as a “signature partnership” that will showcase the speed and reliability of the company’s fiber network and deepen its local engagement.
Summit Broadband, which the release says has served thousands of Florida homes and businesses for more than 30 years, framed the pact as consistent with its “Summit Promise” and emphasized its identity as a community‑focused, local provider.
J.T. McWalters, the team’s SVP of global partnerships, called the sponsorship a move that will strengthen Summit Broadband’s regional engagement and also described expectations for a long‑term collaboration.
“With Summit Broadband’s continued commitment to the Central Florida community, we’re proud to have this partnership strengthen and amplify their engagement with consumers throughout the region,” McWalters said. “We look forward to a successful, long-term collaboration that collectively benefits our organizations and fans.”
