The latest move by Consolidated Communications in Houston represents a big leap for expanding high-performance connectivity in the area, according to one of the firm’s executives.
This week, Consolidated Communications announced a strategic deployment of fiber to TRG Datacenters’ Houston facility.
The deployment, according to Consolidated’s release, will deliver a “backbone needed for advanced workloads like AI, machine learning and high-performance computing.”
The company also said the deployment will help TRG Datacenters meet the growing needs of their clients.
Chris Hinkle, the CEO of TRG Datacenters, said high-speed connectivity is foundational to their mission.
“Our data center is built for interconnection—with free cross-connects and a fiber-rich environment that supports scale, redundancy and performance,” he said. “Adding Consolidated Communications enhances that ecosystem, giving our clients even more capabilities to support demanding workloads like AI, high-performance computing and complex digital infrastructures.”
Meanwhile, Dan Stoll, an executive with Consolidated Communications, celebrated the partnership.
He said Consolidated’s advanced fiber infrastructure is additionally helping TRG to create a powerful platform for business.
“This collaboration demonstrates our ability to deliver secure, high-speed internet and cloud-based services, empowering businesses to drive innovation and efficiency in an increasingly data-driven world,” Stoll stated.
According to Consolidated, the development is especially important for “emerging technologies like Bot Auto,” which is developing a fleet of autonomous vehicles.
