Residents of the 248-home Sandalwood HOA in Palm Beach Gardens are set to receive next-generation fiber internet and bundled TV service after a competitive procurement led by Vitalis Smart Communities, the Miami-based telecom advisory firm announced.
Vitalis said it ran a formal request-for-proposal process that drew eight internet and television vendors and resulted in a deal with a local Florida internet service provider. The agreement replaces the neighborhood’s legacy copper coaxial network with full fiber to every home and delivers multi-gig internet, described in the release as 2 Gbps speeds using Wi‑Fi 7 technology, alongside a premium streaming TV package included in the bulk rate.
According to the statement, the changes will save each household more than $150 per month, which Vitalis calculates as more than $446,400 in annual savings across the community. The company also highlighted contract features intended to protect the HOA: defined performance standards, long-term accountability, and community-focused customer service from the Florida-based provider.
“Communities like Sandalwood deserve more than outdated infrastructure and retail-priced service,” Vitalis said in its announcement, adding that the firm’s role was to “level the playing field” by running a competitive process and holding providers accountable.
The release framed the upgrade as preparing the community for growing bandwidth needs tied to streaming, smart home devices, and future technology demands while stabilizing costs.
Vitalis positions itself as a carrier-agnostic advisor that manages sourcing and negotiations for HOAs, condominiums, and multifamily properties at no cost to residents, with its compensation coming from providers.
In Sandalwood’s case, the company presented its recommendation to the HOA board after benchmarking pricing, technology, service commitments and contract terms.
