Employees of Jonesboro-based Ritter Communications volunteered more than 1,100 hours across August and September, the company reported Tuesday. More than 300 staff members took part in projects supporting 13 organizations within Ritter’s service area, which spans parts of Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas, Missouri, Kentucky, and Louisiana.

CEO Heath Simpson said the volunteer initiative aligns with the company’s stated “Right by You” pledge to support customers, employees, and local communities. Ritter described the program as providing employees time and support to participate in community work while maintaining the company’s customer-service commitments.

One technician who volunteered, Ricky Reddell, said the experience was “deeply moving” and highlighted work with organizations serving foster children, though the company release did not specify the names of the 13 beneficiary groups or detail the individual projects completed. Ritter’s statement emphasizes employee engagement alongside recent investments in fiber and communications infrastructure.

We were touched by the immense care and dedication the volunteers have for foster children in the area,” Reddell said.

Ritter Communications, a privately held telecommunications provider headquartered in Jonesboro, said it serves 197 communities and more than 60,000 customers across the Mid‑South. The company has promoted the volunteer push as consistent with its broader public-facing mission of combining advanced fiber technology with local community involvement.
