Two Arkansas communities are in line for broadband services thanks to a recent investment, according to Ritter Communications.

Earlier this month, Ritter Communications announced a $1.8 million investment that will bring the company’s RightFiber broadband services to neighborhoods in Walnut Ridge and Hoxie. Now, weeks later, the company has announced an additional investment, totaling $2.4 million, to deliver broadband to Pine Bluff and White Hall.

Ritter Communications, which calls itself the largest privately held telecommunications provider exclusively serving the Mid-South, offers services like broadband fiber, telecom, video, along with cloud and data center services.

The company has grown rapidly over the years, according to a summary of the company’s growth, which said Ritter Communications now serves 136 communities and more than 49,000 customers in Arkansas, Texas, Missouri and Tennessee.

Pine Bluff Mayor Shirley Washington expressed excitement about the investment and said Ritter Communications will bring services that Pine Bluff residents need to live, work and enjoy entertainment in today’s highly connected world.

“I am deeply appreciative of their commitment to bringing these new service options to the community,” Washington said, according to comments included with an announcement from Ritter Communications.

Comments from White Hall Mayor Noel Foster were also included in the Ritter Communications announcement.

“Dependable, high-speed internet is a necessary utility for all people and communities to thrive,” Foster said. “The services provided by Ritter Communications offer White Hall residents an affordable option through which they will access new connections and opportunities.”
