Ripple Fiber, a leading 100-percent fiber-optic internet provider and network operator, announces the beginning of construction in Federal Way, Washington.

Following the recent groundbreaking in Ocean Shores, Washington, the provider is making progress on the $250 million project that includes more than 200,000 homes and businesses across King County and Grays Harbor County. Ripple Fiber expects to launch service to customers in Federal Way by summer 2026.

“Successful infrastructure projects start with trust, early engagement, and collaboration. The City of Federal Way and the Greater Federal Way Chamber of Commerce have been thoughtful partners as we’ve worked to align this project with the community’s vision for growth, connectivity, and economic opportunity,” said Mitzi McMahan, Director of Government Affairs at Ripple Fiber. “Homes and businesses will now be equipped to meet the growing demands of remote work, telehealth, online learning, and more.”
