RightFiber said Monday it will invest more than $50 million to expand its 100% fiber-optic network across North Texas, bringing residential speeds up to 5 Gigabits per second (Gbps) and business connections up to 100 Gbps.
Construction is already underway in one Dallas suburb: Seagoville, the first community to see activity, according to RightFiber.
“As a native Texan, I’m proud that we are building our network deeper into North Texas,” said RightFiber CEO Heath Simpson.
He said the move was also part of RightFiber’s ongoing growth strategy. In recent years, the provider has expanded its footprint to include areas in Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Kentucky.
RightFiber also emphasized a customer-focused rollout, promising what it calls a “Right by You” pledge: advance communication about construction through signage, mailers, door hangers and in-person teams, and restoration of any property affected during installation.
The company also positioned the build as combining “cutting-edge technology” with Ritter’s 120-year legacy in broadband, telecom, video and data center services across the southern United States.
RightFiber’s announcement did not specify a full timeline for the North Texas build or name additional communities beyond Seagoville slated to receive service.
As municipalities and residents weigh options for faster internet, RightFiber’s significant local investment adds another private-sector option for gigabit-capable infrastructure in the region. The company said the expansion follows its award-winning deployments in other states and aims to pair “best-in-class technology” with a “world-class customer experience.”
