A $1 million upgrade to infrastructure managed by AeroNet Wireless will position the wireless provider for an island-wide expansion in Puerto Rico, Tarana Wireless has announced.

In an announcement this month, which described AeroNet Wireless as “the fastest and most reliable ISP in Puerto Rico,” Tarana Wireless said AeroNet’s upgrade leveraged the company’s G1 ngFWA platform.

The technology “overcomes traditional industry challenges through innovative interference cancellation and non-line-of-sight (NLoS) wireless capabilities,” according to Tarana Wireless.

Tarana Wireless’s G1 ngFWA platform is useful for Puerto Rico’s mountainous topography, allowing AeroNet Wireless to gain access to the island’s more rugged terrain.

Gino Villarini, the founder of AeroNet Wireless, said the investment represents AeroNet’s commitment to remaining at the forefront of industry innovation.

“As a 100% Puerto Rican company, we understand our island’s unique connectivity challenges, and our customers deserve nothing less than the most advanced, reliable broadband technology available,” Villarini said. “These speeds put us on par with fiber-optic service, delivering a seamless experience and even greater reliability.”
