Presales for Bluepeak’s fiber-optic network in Denison, Texas have begun.

The fiber provider, which is embarking upon their first expansion to the Texas market, expects to begin connecting the first customers in Denison by January.

Construction on the network is currently underway, according to Bluepeak’s website.

“As part of Bluepeak’s broader investment in fiber infrastructure across Oklahoma and Texas, the network will provide speeds of up to 5 Gig for homes and up to 10 Gig for businesses,” Bluepeak’s release stated.

In the months since construction began this fall, Bluepeak has sponsored numerous events around the community.

According to Bluepeak, the company was the presenting sponsor for the Denison Area Chamber of Commerce’s 90th Annual Christmas Parade. The internet service provider (ISP) is also sponsoring Wonders of Winter, Christmas at the Depot, and Denison on Ice, all local holiday-themed events in the area.

Rich Fish, the CEO of Bluepeak, said the ISP is excited to bring their service offerings to Denison.

“This investment underscores our commitment to building infrastructure that empowers communities with the tools they need to thrive in a digital economy,” Fish said, as quoted in Bluepeak’s release.

Also quoted was Denison Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Diana Theall.

“We welcome Bluepeak Fiber Internet to our community,” Theall said. “We look forward to having another option for high-speed internet in Denison.”

In addition to Texas and Oklahoma, Bluepeak also hopes to expand services to customers in South Dakota, southwest Minnesota, Wyoming, North Dakota, a summary of the ISP stated.
