Wireless network and telco-as-a-service solutions provider BB1 has entered into a strategic partnership with Etheric Networks, an internet service provider based in California.

The partnership will allow Etheric to provide licensed-band spectrum solutions in areas where current options are limited, BroadbandOne’s Oct. 15 release stated.

The partnership’s first focus will center around delivering BroadbandOne’s BusinessConnect TaaS solution, according to BB1’s announcement.

“The Salinas rollout begins in January 2025, with plans for further expansion into other regions of California, including the Monterey County area, as well as the Central Valley,” the release stated.

Broadband One’s release said the partnership both expands their footprint in California and enhances Etheric’s service portfolio.

“We are two high-integrity organizations with a shared passion for engineering and customer service excellence,” said Alexander Hagen, the CEO and CTO of Etheric Networks. “We are two high-integrity organizations with a shared passion for engineering and customer service excellence.”

Hagen’s comments, included with BB1’s release, went on to state that Etheric’s knowledge of California, combined with BB1’s mmWave spectrum, has the capabilities to bring alternatives to the California marketplace.

BroadbandOne possesses “extensive licensed mmWave spectrum holdings in the 28GHz band,” according to the company’s announcement.

Eric Watko, CEO of BroadbandOne, said Etheric Networks shares his firm’s vision for innovation and top-tier connectivity solutions.

“Together, we are transforming how businesses in rural and underserved markets experience wireless internet, offering unparalleled speed, resiliency and efficiency with our licensed spectrum solutions,” Watko stated.

BroadbandOne’s release said the partnership could additionally “pave the way for future mobility solutions in Monterey County and other rural markets.”
