WEST YORKSHIRE, ENGLAND – MTS, Manitoba’s full-service communications provider for residential and business customers, has forged a partnership with Pace, a global developer of advanced technologies for service providers, to deliver new services and increase “Rate & Reach” with the Pace 5168N Bonded VDSL2/ADSL+ Residential Gateway. The Pace 5168N offers in-home 802.11N wireless throughput to enable consumer connected devices with increased service area coverage, speed improvements and ease of installation.
“The Pace 5168N gateway helps us deliver Internet speeds of up to 250 Mbps on the MTS FiON Network and will be used to deliver speeds of up to 50 Mbps over our VDSL2 network,” said Stan Kurtas, MTS vice president of marketing. “We can further expand our broadband service coverage and provide better in-home wireless networking performance thanks to our partnership with Pace.”

Deployed and available since late 2012, the 5168N product is the next evolution of the 3801 Residential Gateway and continues as the industry standard for IP video, data, and voice delivery for telecommunications providers.
