The fiber subsidiary of the Alcorn County Electric Power Association has expanded their network in New Albany.
Announcing the news this week was Adtran, which is utilized by ACE Fiber to help deliver services, according to Adtran’s Jan. 14 release.
ACE Fiber, the Alcorn County Electric Power Association’s subsidiary, claims the development will enhance the user experience for residents, comments from ACE Fiber’s CEO stated.
“Leveraging Adtran’s complete solution – from the core of our network and through the doors of homes and businesses – we’re significantly enhancing the digital experience for New Albany residents,” said Sean McGrath, ACE Fiber’s CEO.
According to McGrath’s comments included with Adtran’s release, ACE Fiber’s partnership with New Albany will replicate the success they’ve had in Alcorn County.
ACE Fiber’s network utilizes technologies like Adtran’s FSP 3000 open terminals and Adtran’s optical line terminals, which can deliver ultrafast connection speeds, according to Adtran’s release.
Jeremy Harris, VP of North America service provider sales at Adtran, said the technology is helping ACE Fiber close a significant digital gap in New Albany.
“By extending high-speed broadband to previously underserved regions, they’re creating new opportunities for households and businesses to thrive,” Harris said. “We’re proud that our end-to-end solution is empowering ACE Fiber to address this challenge.”
