Ritter Communications has unveiled a new mural that will grace the side of their fiber-optic shelter in Bentonville, a community of roughly 54,000 residents in Northwest Arkansas.
The mural, created by local artist Susan Idlet, was revealed earlier this month, with Ritter stating the design reflects the company’s commitment “to providing cutting-edge, advanced technology solutions to businesses and families.”
Ritter’s release about the mural included some information about Idlet, who’s art is often considered “surrealistic folk art.”
“Idlet dreamed of being an artist since she was six years old,” Ritter’s announcement stated. “Eight years ago, she rediscovered her passion for art after a period of not creating. She primarily uses Prismacolor pencils and paper, producing vibrant work with clear, intense colors.”
Additionally, Idlet said she was excited to be chosen to work on Ritter’s fiber-optic shelter in Bentonville. Her comments were included in Ritter’s announcement.
“They asked me to focus on connections and glowing, dynamic images came to me in the form of a landscape, grounded in colorful, insulated fibers,” she said. “I’m proud of the way it turned out.”
‘We’re glad to have played a small part in this effort’
Furthermore, community leaders praised local artists.
Bentonville Chamber of Commerce CEO Brandom Gengelbach also offered comments with Ritter’s announcement unveiling the mural.
“People want to live in a community that is beautiful and promotes creativity. Bentonville is one such community,” Gengelbach said. “We’re glad companies like Ritter Communications support that mission and the local artists that do amazing work.”
Similarly, Ritter’s CEO, Heath Simpson, said local artists have helped make Bentonville a beautiful place to call home.
“We’re glad to have played a small part in this effort,” Simpson said.
Ritter Communications, headquartered in Jonesboro, completed a fiber-optic expansion, bringing their services to the Bentonville area in 2021.
Since then, the company has expanded their RightFiber service, with speeds of up to 5 Gig, to area neighborhoods.
