LiveOak Fiber has announced reaching a significant milestone in Florida’s panhandle region.

The provider, which serves customers in Florida and Georgia, is celebrating the recent activation of their network in several underserved communities.

According to LiveOak, the new fiber-optic services available to many area residents are up to 100 times faster than traditional broadband services.

LiveOak’s Dec. 10 release listed communities to see recent network activations.

Included on the list were Deer Lake, Destin, Grayton Beach, Miramar Beach, Laguna Beach, Sea Grove, and Sunnyside.

All are located in Florida’s Emerald Coast region.

Steve Smith, the chief revenue officer for LiveOak, said his company is bringing more than just connectivity.

“We’re providing a pathway to growth, innovation, and economic development,” Smith said in LiveOak’s announcement.

LiveOak plans additional network activations across the Emerald Coast, the company’s release stated, reaching more communities deeper into the Emerald Coast region.

The regional provider has made waves in Northwest Florida since their arrival on the local broadband scene.

The fiber deployment in Northwest Florida is part of LiveOak Fiber’s broader regional efforts in the Southeast, where the company has invested millions of dollars towards new network construction.
