Doug Guthrie, IQ Fiber’s newly named chief operating officer, will report to IQ Fiber CEO Ted Schremp, the company has announced.

Guthrie brings nearly four decades of experience in the telecommunications industry and will be responsible for overseeing the company’s network deployment, operational performance, and customer service, as IQ Fiber further accelerates its network expansion.

Guthrie has also held senior leadership roles across operations, sales, and marketing at leading broadband companies, including Cable One, Astound and Comcast. Most recently, he served as VP of systems operations at Cable One, where he led regional technical operations across six regions in 24 states and supported nearly one million residential and commercial customers.

His responsibilities included technical fulfillment, network maintenance, fleet operations, safety, and dispatch, as well as supporting customer growth initiatives, strengthening community and government relationships, and identifying opportunities for future expansion.
