A growing Texas-based ISP has announced plans to expand into a second market after making a 2023 debut in the Arlington area.
NOVOS FiBER’s momentum has continued into 2024.
This week the Dallas-Fort Worth area ISP announced an entrance into McKinney, the seat of Collin County, Texas, and NOVOS FiBER’s second DFW metro-area market.
“This announcement comes shortly after NOVOS FiBER’s successful debut in Arlington, Texas, where the company is investing a further $25 million and already has live customers on its fiber network,” the company’s Feb. 19 announcement stated.
NOVOS FiBER’s recent investments in Arlington and McKinney are backed by InLight Capital. NOVOS FiBER’s announcement reported the company is allocating $20 million “to bring services to McKinney residents.”
Andrew Snead, the CEO of NOVOS FiBER, called McKinney “an incredibly vibrant and fast-growing city” in comments included with NOVOS FiBER’s announcement.
“We’re excited to bring residents high-speed fiber internet with our promise of fairness, transparency and a genuine focus on the customer experience,” he said. “It’s tremendously humbling to hear residents thanking the team for bringing choice to their neighborhood.”
Construction on the network in McKinney began “several months ago,” NOVOS FiBER’s announcement stated.
The company hopes to begin offering services to residents by the end of February with three varying fiber-optic plans, all with different speeds ranging from 300 Mbps to 2.5 gig speeds, NOVOS FiBER’s release stated.
NOVOS FiBER called attention to some of their other efforts in McKinney through comments from Jennifer Rutledge, the firm’s customer service manager. Rutledge’s comments provided in the company’s release.
Rutledge said NOVOS FiBER is investing in McKinney as a community, support that has been offered to school and city-organized events.
“We’re much more than a mere utility,” she said. “When people see a NOVOS FiBER truck in their neighborhood, they can expect a different type of experience and a provider that truly cares about their customers and the neighborhood.”
