Press Release

More than 2,200 residents and businesses now have the opportunity to experience high-speed, symmetrical upload and download internet speeds directly from their home or business.

AMHERST, MA – GoNetspeed announced the completion of construction on its 100 percent fiber-optic network in the Town of Amherst. Through GoNetspeed’s $3 million investment in the community, more than 2,200 residents and businesses now have the opportunity to experience high-speed, symmetrical upload and download internet speeds directly from their home or business.

“We are pleased to have fully completed the build-out of the very first community we will serve in Massachusetts,” said Richard Clark, GoNetspeed president and CEO. “Central and Western Massachusetts communities continue to be severely underserved, lacking quality service and provider options. Amherst is now equipped with high-speed internet that will grow with the needs of the community, and we look forward to serving many more communities throughout the Commonwealth.”

GoNetspeed is actively working to ensure that more communities throughout Massachusetts will have access to a high-speed, 100% fiber internet infrastructure. In the coming months, more communities throughout the state will join Amherst in having access to GoNetspeed’s fiber internet.
