GoNetspeed has announced their latest investment into a Connecticut community.
The investment, totaling $4.3 million, will fund a 100 percent fiber-optic network in Ansonia, Connecticut, GoNetspeed announced this week.
According to the internet provider, work on the network build will commence this summer.
Completion on the network is expected sometime during fall of 2025, the ISP further announced.
With the network expansion, Ansonia will join a list of more than 40 communities in Connecticut that either currently enjoy GoNetspeed’s services, or are undergoing current construction.
Tom Perrone, GoNetspeed’s COO, said the network will give Ansonia residents a fast connection that is also reliable.
His comments were included in GoNetspeed’s May 6 release.
“Our network is built to grow with the community for years to come,” Perrone said. “We’re proud to bring Ansonia into our expanding fiber-optic network with a fully funded private investment—at no cost to taxpayers.”
