Continuing their recent momentum in Minnesota, Gateway Fiber has begun construction of an all-fiber network in Moorhead.

Gateway Fiber recently marked the start of construction on an all-fiber network in Moorhead with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Hjemkomst Center on October 16.
City officials, community leaders and company representatives attended the event as crews began deploying fiber-to-the-home infrastructure intended to provide identical upload and download speeds up to 1 gigabit per second or higher to homes and businesses across the city, a release from Gateway Fiber explained.
Company leaders emphasized customer-facing policies at the ceremony, including no data caps, no hidden fees, no-contract options and local support. Gateway Fiber said the build will deliver 100% fiber optic connections and that construction is underway with the first customers expected to be connected in the coming months.
The expansion into Moorhead, along the Red River, is part of Gateway Fiber’s broader push across Minnesota; the company framed the project as bringing competition and new investment to local broadband infrastructure. Gateway also highlighted a recent strategic merger announced in February with WANRack and KWIKOM Communications, which it said expands its capacity to serve residential, commercial and enterprise clients.
Residents and businesses can sign up for updates and service information through the company’s website, which also lists career opportunities related to the Moorhead build.
